Renovation of a vacation home in Minamiboso City, Chiba Prefecture. In contrast to the existing open layout centered around the living room, the entrances to each bedroom were moved to the perimeter, while the kitchen area was significantly expanded, rebalancing the interplay between open and private spaces. The focal point of the house, facing the large garden, was shifted slightly to the north, and several living areas are connected by a hallway we call “the river.”
